Lucky Birding
It's already the 4th of January here as I'm writing this blog, but at the start of the year I heard a fun anecdote. Did you know that the first bird you see on a new year is your personal lucky bird for the year? I saw it on a post on Flight Rising...
If I'm not mixing days up, then the first bird I saw on January 1st or 2nd was a Blue tit! This is pretty awesome, because I don't see Blue tits often. Usually the tits in my area are Coal tits.
Out of my common local birds, my favorite ones are the sweet little Robins... They're not afraid at all!
This is my shrine devoted to robins... Well, I assembled a shrine for the photo. In reality I just have a plushie among my plush collection, a pin for my ita bag, and my mom got me the robin snowglobe for Christmas. Blue tits hmm... I won't mind getting some blue tit merch this year.
